    I registered a new widget zone in the header using the “vol_header_top” hook, but in WordPress Widget editor, I don’t see the new Widget zone to drag widget in it (here, the I want the search to be in the header).

    Can you help?

    If you just want to add a search form to the header in the vol_header_top hook, just use WordPress’s built-in function for grabbing a theme’s search form: get_search_form().

    function search_form_header() {

    That will put it right up there for you and then you can target it in our CSS with the selector:

    .site-header #searchform {
    .... css ....

    Hey it looks like you forgot a closing parenthesis on the conditional inside of the my_site_info_widget function.

    if ( function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') {

    should be

    if ( function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') ) {
