    Hello everyone.

I need a quick help regarding the sidebar. I need a sidebar on my store page (selected template is store front). I have tried all the steps given here: http://volatylthemes.com/create-sidebars/

In widgets I can see Sidebar 1 and I have entered some widgets in it, but problem that the sidebar is not at all appearing on my store page 🙁

What step I am missing? Please help.

I am using Touch for EDD child theme.

Hi, jlubbers. Sorry for the delayed reply.

The reason you do not see a sidebar on the store front template is because it’s a template itself. When you select to use a Page Template (landing, squeeze, store front, etc.) that overrides any default functionality and adopts the structure of the chosen template. The page templates are specifically for using the predefined templates built into the theme.

If you’d like a different structure, it’s best to either code it up in your own custom page template or, if that’s not an option, simply use EDD shortcodes in your content. This EDD shortcode is perfect for what you need. All you’d have to do is not select a page template, use that shortcode in your content, and then you’re still free to use all of the built-in Volatyl options for sidebar functionality.

I hope this helps! Let me know.
