    Hi Sean (& others)

I have a very standard WordPress install on my domain http://www.onemanarmy.nl (sorry it’s in Dutch language) 🙂

    But pagination is not working..

Scroll down to bottom and click:

    “Oudere artikelen”

    That goes to: http://www.onemanarmy.nl/page/2/

But it shows the same articles… Not the older ones.

    Please help?

    Hi, Mitchel!

I do see that the pagination is not working on your site. Has this always been the case or is it a recent issue?

Can you temporarily deactivate all plugins and check to see if it works for you then? If it does, reactivate them one by one checking the pagination functionality after every reactivation to see which one breaks it again.

    Let me know. Thanks!

    Thanks for replying 🙂

I am sorry for not follow-upping, but was busy uhmmm… making money.

Well, I deactivated all plugins.. but that didn’t work.

It seems the problem is not the plugins.

    Now what?

I did not noticed it untill I had enough posts to have a second page 🙂

    Guess it was always there.

If I use twenty twelve for example, it works… I can just click on “older articles”.

    Okay let’s try two things.

First, go to WordPress Admin -> Settings -> Permalinks and resave your settings. Then try the pagination once more.

If that doesn’t fix it, got to WordPress Admin -> Appearance -> Volatyl Options -> Content (tab) -> Activate Pagination and check that box. It’ll change the style of pagination used but I’d like to see if it functions properly for you.

Unfortunately, I am unable to replicate this error on my end.

    Unfortunately that doesn’t work either.

So, that’s the end for me I guess working with Volatyl.. I really have no time to fix all this kind of problems..

There’s nothing wrong with Volatyl’s pagination. I think it’s pretty clear there’s something specific to your site that needs to be tracked down. It could be a conflict between Volatyl and another resource. But Volatyl itself navigates through pages just fine… always has. The code is the basic standard code.

Likewise, considering the navigation isn’t working for either type (the numbered pages or the newer/older links), which use completely separate code, I’m leaning more towards a permalinks issue than anything else.

Here’s Volatyl with Vibrant. Pagination is fine: http://demo.volatylthemes.com/vibrant/

Same with my main WordPress site using Vibrant: http://buildwpyourself.com/blog/

If you would like to continue the troubleshooting process, I am more than willing to try and figure out what the issue is. Volatyl works fine, though.
