Had a bit trouble initially but got it working just fine on the local server. Still can’t get it to work on the actual site, tho.

I tried repairing my database and it said there was one error that was repaired. That did not help the issue. Then I created a new database but get the same errors. Maybe the WP install is corrupt or something.

So, I guess I’m going to download a WP export using the default WP tools – hopefully that works properly (since BackupBuddy isn’t) and then I’ll completely trash everything on the server and reinstall the whole entire thing from the bottom up. I’ll probably tackle that tomorrow.

I am having no issues with other sites on the same host/server so it seems to be isolated to this domain. I suppose that’s a good thing…

I’ll let you know how it goes. Let me know if you have any other thoughts before tomorrow.

Yeah, it’s just isolated to that particular domain – I just uploaded it to another domain on the same hosting/server and had no issue whatsoever. So it’s definitely something to do with this install.

I will wipe the domain clean, clear out all files and start over from scratch. Once I’m done, I’ll let you know how it went! Keep your fingers crossed that it does the trick! LOL

It’s crazy because this domain has been up and running WordPress since early 2005 with almost the same plugins. The only thing I ever change every now and then is the theme.

    Sean,

Good news! I completely uninstalled WP, the database and everything else from my domain and then reinstalled all of it. AND … it worked! I’ve got a header/logo again. 😉

Yay! I do wish we could figure out exactly what happened, though, so that it would easier to pinpoint next time someone has the issue and NOT have to completely start over. But at least we do know what if nothing else seems to work, it DOES work to delete everything and start from scratch.

So, it must be either a database error or a WP bug. Wish we knew which!

    Thanks for all your help!

Sorry for the delayed response. I’m a little under the weather.

I’m glad you were able to get everything working. Did you check the functionality in between the WP uninstall and the DB sweep to narrow that down at all? Or did you do them both at once pretty much?

Either way, please let me know if you run into this issue again! Thanks for the help tracking it down, though.

Oh and did it fix your Backup Buddy issue?
