It’s been tough so far, Rich, but I’m trying to figure out the best way to do it. Because they are two separate products, a person could buy Volatyl, then pay the upgrade price to get Volatyl for EDD, and have access to both for the price of one thanks to the purchase history.

So I have to figure out a way to literally shift users from Volatyl to Volatyl for EDD and make their purchase history reflect that. Volatyl for EDD behaves exactly like Volatyl. Switching frameworks won’t hurt anything. So I just have to make sure that the people who upgrade are completely upgraded as if they never bought basic Volatyl before.

Once I can get that system built, no one will have to pay for Volatyl’s features twice… ever. If you want to make the move before I have it in place, just let me know and we’ll do it all manually.

Thanks for the offer it is appreciated. But I’ll wait until you get it sorted to help test it.

The strange thing is that I run a test account that has the same credentials as you and it’s not showing. Of course, I test all of this before I publish. So I’m having a hard time figuring out what’s making your account and others (you’re not the first) behave differently from my test accounts. Would you mind taking a screenshot of your purchase history in the members area? I’d really appreciate it.

Oh crap… I so misread your first post about this. For some reason, I thought you were getting the EDD version of Volatyl itself. You are totally free to have access to the EDD version of your skeleton purchases. There’s no price difference for those. I’m adding an EDD version for each of them and everyone who purchases a skeleton will be able to use either based on their framework.

Thanks at ton for the screenshot. Who knows how long I would have been thinking it was Volatyl for EDD had I not seen the way the products were grouped. THANK YOU!

How do you install what? EDD? It’s a plugin completely separate from Volatyl or any other theme. I just made a lot of tweaks to help Volatyl work well EDD. All of the information is here: http://demo.volatylthemes.com/volatyl-edd/info/

Having the Vibrant for EDD skeleton does nothing for you if you don’t have Volatyl for EDD. EDD works just fine in Volatyl without anything special. I just added some special features like a store front, a new sidebar for download pages, etc.

Ok, so i need Volatyl for EDD to use the Vibrant for EDD along with the EDD plugin installed.

Any update on how you can upgrade to Volatyl for EDD? Or is it a case you just have to purchase the Framework again?

Correct. Remember, though, EDD works with Volatyl just fine without any of the EDD versions of my products. I just make the experience much better with the EDD versions.

No update on the Volatyl for EDD purchase. I will probably end up leaving them separate with no “upgrade” bridge since it’s really not an upgrade anyway. It’s just a different product. Again, though, you’re here VERY early in Volatyl’s life so I’m ready to bend for early customers. If you want Volatyl for EDD, hit me personally and we’ll do it manually. I’ll most likely keep it separate for future customers, though.
